The San Joaquin County Commission on the Status of women celebrated ten county women on February 15, 2025, at the Stockton Hilton. The event is held each year on the birthday of Susan B. Anthony and the awarded women received a medallion that is known as the Susan B. Anthony Award. This was the 49th celebration which began in 1975, in honor of Tillie Lewis. The medal has been awarded yearly to ten women who have contributed to the community in one of sixteen ways. Since its inception, over 425 women have been honored.
